Potential Sail-able ICE!

No joke- Sounds like there may be an option up in Canada if you are REALLY jones-ing for some mid-lake social distancing….

Hello All,

DN sailor Marc Tarini photographed checking ice a few minutes ago, in the middle of Lac du Huit near Thetford Mines. He mentions there is still 15 inches black ice underneath 4 inches new snow.

    Sad to say that the border is closed, and we are on the warm side of it. Here’s wishing the Canadians cold nights and warm windy days!

      With our vast base of iceboaters from every profession and locations, we must have a contact in the State Department. With a little arm twisting, we could have iceboating designated as an essential activity at the Federal level. Then again this will mostly be behind us before first ice for the 2021 season.
