DEJA VU Cont’d….

Colin Duncan from Kingston, Ontario weighs in on the sailing sled photo with this tidbit-

I’m still amazed that no one has weighed in with a critique of sail trim and / or runner selection….

T,
The photo of the sleds suggests maybe a northern Canadian lake, such as Great Slave, even Winnipegosis (favourite name). The ice is so smooth (and flat) it is hard to believe it is an Arctic or Antarctic scene. My wife, an historian of Canada working on energy history, thinks she has seen the pic somewhere before. Last year flying out to the ASEH conference in Seattle I saw the frozen southern part of Lake Winnipeg, an almost perfect circle fragment in shape. Amazingly alluring but there seemed to be nobody at all using it.
Cheers, Colin
