I’m a newbie here and looking for help with runners. Difference between inserts, plates, alligators, slush runners, bull nose….. All confusing. I bought a Nite style boat (but single seater) and it has runners that seem short to me though it handled pretty well on my 1st time out in light wind. Steering runner is 26 inches, side runners are 30 inches. I’ve s […]
I’m a dues paying member but don’t know how to find out where everyone is sailing. There’s a group of DNers sailing on a pond in Gloucester but we’d like to sail with the big boys. Is there still a recorded phone message available on where it’s safe to sail.

Most of Maine had a slow painful trickle of light snow all day. The way the flakes looked fro out the window in the light air, with up drafts, side drafts, and no drafts reminded more of a plague of … Continue reading →

DN Sail and Battens for sale 1D Speed sail available. This unique sail features toggles (or slides) for the mast tube as the bolt rope intended for the mast tube separated from the tack. While the sail loft assured me that toggles would work, the sail does not do well in light wind, so the toggles probably need to be removed. The sail is otherwise in good co […]
