Great Iceboat Seat

Don Stearns checks in with this interesting find….

“This seat may be 100 years old but the design and construction caught my eye. Found it in an antique shop and fell in love with it.

Made in Norway Maine by Mr Tubbs, this thing is light weight, low center of gravity, and shows its heritage. We could all use a comfy fit these days!

I have an old small guide canoe so that’s where it is headed. The idea that it would fit in a larger iceboat was natural.
Iceboaters are always looking to upgrade. It’s in their genes….

This would not fit a DN. Too bad!”
